1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter an agreement and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and activity within your workspace.
2. Permitted use
You may use MarginGuard for lawful competitive research involving publicly accessible storefront information. You must respect applicable law, intellectual property, site terms, robots directives, and reasonable request rates.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Do not seek private Shopify admin, order, payment, customer, credential, or non-public inventory data.
- Do not bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, robots directives, or technical protections.
- Do not use the service for harassment, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, resale of personal data, or infringement.
- Do not overload the service or target storefronts through abusive automated requests.
- Do not present estimates or observations as verified competitor sales or private business records.
4. Public data and third parties
Storefront information can be incomplete, stale, merchant-controlled, or affected by themes, locations, apps, and product configuration. Shopify stores and linked sources are independent third parties. MarginGuard does not endorse them and cannot guarantee their availability or terms.
5. Reports and AI features
Reports identify patterns from available evidence and may contain errors. Any optional AI-generated brief must be reviewed before use. You must not automatically publish claims, change prices, contact customers, or make purchasing decisions solely from a generated output.
6. Plans and billing
Paid checkout is currently paused and displayed plans are product previews rather than active offers. Before billing is enabled, final prices, limits, renewal terms, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and payment-provider terms will be presented for acceptance.
7. Intellectual property
MarginGuard's software, interface, branding, and original content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You retain rights in material you submit and grant us the limited permission needed to process it and provide the service.
8. Availability and termination
The service may change, be suspended, or experience errors. We may restrict or terminate access for abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee rankings, sales, competitive completeness, uninterrupted monitoring, or business outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, MarginGuard is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or lost-profit damages arising from use of research outputs or third-party data.
